About Us

Above all we set out to make you feel welcome at Quaich. Whether you’ve popped in to grab a quick take-away coffee on a busy day, or have come to meet friends, feed the kids, work or be alone with a cup of tea and a book.

Robin has lived in Horsley with his family since 2001. On moving in day he was heard to utter the infamous words “This place needs a coffee shop” and the rest is, well the rest is Quaich.

The team is made up of an eclectic bunch of brilliant - mostly local - baristas. There’s a core team : Robin of course, ably assisted by a crew of regulars - often University students home for the holidays. We’re a bit ‘Hotel California’ like that.

All set out to make you the best coffee, tea, sandwich, salad or soup etc but also to make sure you are warmly welcomed.
